alt='Chels' title='Chels' align=right width=60 hspace=10 vspace=10'/>Holiday 2010!!

It was that time of year again, for a Flux babes holiday!! I was the second lucky babe to hop across the pond and visit the happiest place on earth where dreams really can come true..... FLORIDA!!

This was my fourth time to Florida, but our first staying in a villa experiencing the American life!! Our first big adventure began by choosing which car to hire?? There was much debate, I wanted a Mustang or Corvette, but as my mum kindly reminded me all my suitcases would not fit in there!! Dad wanted a Jeep...... again no room for suitcases. So in the ended we had to make do with the short supply of SUV's and settled for a Nissan Murano (I said choice was limited) After choosing the right car, we navigated our way to the villa.

The villa was huge, plenty of room for us four and our suitcases (and future shopping purchases) we began our first night by shopping at the local Publix for food and drink, before a quick dip in our pool and then retiring to our comfy beds for the night.

Through out the two weeks we visited all of the Disney Parks, Seaworld, Universal and Aquatica and managed to fit in plenty of shopping along the way. The park I was most excited to see was Universal's Islands of Adventure, as the much awaited Harry Potter world had opened just a few weeks before we arrived!! We managed to get early entry into the park to enjoy it without the crowds. The park did not disappoint with a lifelike Hogwarts castle towering over the park, and snow capped houses to capture the scene of Hogsmead. We managed to get on all the rides in the first hour and purchase some infamous Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans and Chocolate Frogs (very yummy), we even tried some Butter Beer....... lets just say we didn't bring any home for others to try.

As I am a bit of an adrenalin junky, my top priority was to go on as many rides as I could, the faster the higher and the scarier the better and even dragged my Mum, Dad and brother along for some of them. We rode all of the classics including Tower of Terror, Rocking Roller Coaster and Splash Mountain. As well as the newer rides like Manta the flying coaster and Rip, Ride, Rock it, the first coaster to let you personalise your ride and choose a song to listen to as you go.

The weather was so hot with some days reaching 107 degrees!! So to cool off we spent a few days at some of the infamous water parks, including the newest Aquatica. We rode all of the rides and relaxed on the 'beaches', got caught in typhoons and lazed about on the lazy rivers all while getting a lovely tan!!

In the evening we enjoyed loads of the night shows ranging from parades to firework displays, my favourite was Epcots IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, seeing huge firework and light displays across the man made lake was really amazing.

The two weeks we spent there was so tiring, but it was worth it, I had an amazing time with my family and have got memories I will never forget!! All in all I can't pick a favourite park Universal was my favourite for rides, Seaworld was my favourite to see some rarely seen animals and Disney was my favourite so I could act like a child and meet a few new friends.

alt='megan' title='megan' align=right width=60 hspace=10 vspace=10'/>Sterlings Butlins Bonanza!

Ok so its that time again... Another fun day out with the work colleagues or as we like to be known the Sterling Family!

It had been arranged that we would spend our works day out at the wonderful jolly place that is Butlins Skegness! So 8.30 came upon us and we ventured out on our mini adventure to the other side of the water..
Upon arival we were made to wait in what seemed like a never ending queue, so we took our place and mingled amongst the other budding people, as we patiently waited we found a prime picture taking moment, heres one of all the gang!

So First thing on the list fot the girls was to hit the spa while the rest braved the slides in the family pools! After about 2 hours of steaming and relaxing ourselves we decided it was time for lunch, It wasnt the warmest of days but in true sterling style we unpacked our picnic on the grass and dug in..Amongst the mountains of food including sweets buscuits sandwiches and fizzy pop were some amazin homebaked cakes which were then turned into a 'whole in one' competition in which fitting the thing whole in your mouth was pretty much the jist...
I must add i won with flying colours (see image!)

After we'd eaten our well deserved lunch us girls decided to dive in and have our faces painted.. Amongst the creatures was a tiger some butterflies and a rabbit. Whilst we were joining in the Butlins fun the guys chilled out in the bar preparing themselves for a round of cazy golf!

Overall a good day had by everyone.. Until the next outing, Alton Towers Next :-)

alt='laura' title='laura' align=right width=60 hspace=10 vspace=10'/>BMF BIKE SHOW - PETERBOROUGH

On the 15th and 16th may, Myself, Zavannah, Grant, Matt and Penny headed to Peterborough showground for the Annual BMF bike show.

As one of the largest shows of it's kind the BMF has so much to offer. The Arena entertainment consisted of Jason Smyth-The Adrenaline Tour, The Moped Enduro, Short track racing, The Stonage International Stunt Display Team, and the Calvacade of Clubs.

The Exhibitors include owners clubs and trading dealerships aswell as insurance brokers like ourselves therefore all aspects of Motorcycling is covered including clothing.

Most exibitors camp at the BMF for the whole weekend however myself and the bikesure team opted for the comfort of the local premier Inn!

We were really lucky with the weather this year, although still windy and a wee bit chilly the sunshine kept us in good spirits the whole weekend.
Our neighbours and good friends the Bandit owners club were kind enough to let us use one of their bikes to put in front of our stand. A special mention goes to 'Mo' who we've seen at the last three BMF's who was kind enough to supply us with tea, coffee and a good ole chinwag throughout the weekend. He says we're one of the family now...aaaaah how lovely!
It was great to be able to represent Bikesure and Adrian Flux as a promo girl aswell as be able to give quotations and renewal advice as and when needed.
Over the last few years at the BMF we have been able to build up some great relationships with the owners clubs and dealers signed up with Bikesure.

Our Neighbours for the weekend, The Ducati Owners Club won the competition for the 2010 'Best Owners Club Stand at BMF'
So i was asked to present the Trophy....
I also presented the trophy for the Ducati owners club winner of 'Best Bike 2010' Graham Beckett ( aka Whizzer!!)

This is me on Graham's winning Ducati 1098 Troy Bayliss Relpica!

Special mentions also go to 'Slaphead' and 'Spaggy' our Ducati owners club friends, for helping to make our weekend at the BMF an enjoyable one!

My friend and photographer Stuart Shaw was also kind enough to take some professional photos of myself and Zav at the show, Thanks Stu :)

As it was Zav's first ever show as a Bikesure babe we thought that was a good enough excuse to go and celebrate on the Saturday night.

We all headed to the hotel bar to have a few pre night-out drinky's where i was over the moon to be asked for I.D haha!! After i gave the manager a little 'telling off' we were soon sipping vodka and planning the rest of our night out!

We headed to Peterborough town centre and hit a few bars before eventually ending up in Lava night club. Much to my horror Jaegar-meisters were on offer at £1.50 a pop. A little peer group pressure and several Jaegars later i was well away!

Nothing like a spot of dressing up for a night on the town!

'You WILL drink that Jaegar whether you like it or not!!!!!'

Lava nightclub was quite an experience, the cheesiest music, and the DJ threw hundreds of glow sticks out to the crowd. We were loving it!!! They also dropped a net full of balloons onto the packed dancefloor and when popped they had free drinks tokens inside...result!!!

As always a fun filled weekend at the BMF, thanks to my Bikesure buddies :)

alt='Emma' title='Emma' align=right width=60 hspace=10 vspace=10'/>Florida 2010

It had been a long and cold 6 winter months since i had booked up my holiday with my boyfriend Tom, back in October. But the 30th April had come round and our holiday to the sunshine state of Florida was finally here :D !!!

The holiday itself started for both of us the moment we stepped out of the office at midday on the 29th. We headed down to Gatwick the night before our holiday, so we had time to relax and chill out!! (Prior to 2 weeks of pure sunshine that is!)

This was to be my first ever visit to America, and also mine and Tom's very first holiday together. Although i was apprehensive about the long flight (even though i'd flown longhaul before), i was so excited about all the things we were going to do.

We arrived in Florida on Friday 30th April at around 6 o'clock in the evening, to a blue sky, and burning sunshine. So after a long 9 hours stuck on a plane, it was all worthwhile.

We did everything possible within our 2 weeks, we managed to visit all of the Disney Parks, as well as doing Universal Studio's, Busch Gardens, Seaworld, all the water parks, and lots of shopping. It was a holiday packed full of things for us to do, and we made the most of it.

My favourite Park we went to was Busch Gardens, mainly because i love Giraffe's. I couldn't contain my excitement when i found out they did the 'Up Close Adventures Tour' which is where you go out in a Safari style jeep, and you get to feed the Giraffe's!! It was brilliant, although i was surprised how greedy the Giraffe's were and scared by how long and slimey their tongues are. (As Tom found out when i was holding the lettuce too close to his face, Ooopsy!!)

I also loved Universal Studio's, because the Simpson's ride was awesome. I actually screamed like i was on a real roller coaster, much to Tom's embarrassment bless him.

At universal studio's there were loads of good photo opportunities, at one point i think i forgot i was on holiday, as you can tell from the picture below, i jumped into my Fluxbabe role...??

I loved all the Disney Parks too. And YES i did have my pictures taken with all the characters, no matter how wrong or right that is in your 20's. But i won't be humiliating myself by putting the pictures on here!! I turned into a big kid out there, i just couldn't help it!!

We went to Epcot towards the end of our holiday, and stayed there into the evening, to watch the spectacular fire works display. It was a really nice atmosphere, and the fire works were brilliant. They reflected off of the lake which is in the centre of Epcot, it was a really something special to see.

All in all i had a fantastic holiday, and loved every minute. Would definitely go back.

Can't wait for holiday 2011 now.

Emma xx
